Emily is the Founder of Bali Family Villas, Australia’s largest Villa rental agency for Bali and surrounding islands. She also has a retreat planning platform for business and wellness groups in Indonesia. She loves it when her clients, often women juggling career and family life, have the chance to reflect, relax and have some fun.

After setting out to study psychology after leaving school, Emily realised she wanted to run her own business and swapped over to complete a BA (Media & Communications) at Swinburne University. The journey to building her own business involved working in various media roles, travelling the world and living in several places.

She chose ‘island life’ 15 years ago for a different pace and the sense of freedom it allows as a family. Her three children are enjoying a multi-cultural upbringing and completing the International Baccalaureate. Emily values a balanced education and is forever grateful for her days at Lauriston. 

She attributes her sense of independence and the ability to create a career on her own terms to knowing that life is what you make it. When asked how schooling at Lauriston may have influenced her sense of adventure/curiosity she replied, that having a quiet confidence in your potential and backing your own choices is something she recognises in so many life-long Lauriston friends.

Emily believes there are many chapters within a lifetime and that taking leaps of faith along the way always pays off.
