Bella is spending 2025 on a GAP year at Dulwich Cranbrook, a day and boarding school just outside London. During her final year at Lauriston, she worked hard to secure her university place and plan a post-school adventure—one that has proven to be both rewarding and transformative.
Living with two fellow GAP students—Rory from Brisbane and Liv from Sydney—Bella enjoys free room and board and a modest salary. As part of the PE department, her role is varied and hands-on. Each week she:
A major bonus is that Dulwich operates Monday to Friday only, meaning Bella has weekends free—rare for GAP students. She’s used that time to travel widely, including a week in Ireland and an Easter trip to Spain with other Gappies.
Bella has made lasting friendships, met wonderful families, and is loving every minute of the experience. She’s more than happy to chat with anyone considering a GAP year—calling it one of the best decisions she’s ever made.
