Lauriston Girls' School mourns the passing of June Best (Fethers, OL 1935), who passed away on 15 April 2025, just shy of her 105th birthday. June was one of many "Fethers" girls who attended Lauriston in the early 1900s, and well into the 1930s. They were all fiercely competitive on the basketball (Netball) courts and the hockey fields at Lauriston, with many of them also performing in the drama productions.
