Livinia Nixon (OL 1992)
Television Presenter

During her time at Lauriston, Livinia was involved in gymnastics, tennis, House plays, school musicals and was the Coordinator of House Gymnastics. After Lauriston, Livinia completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts degree (majoring in marketing and Chinese) as well as a Diploma of Applied Science in horticulture. 

Livinia went on to begin her television career at Channel 9 in 1994. Livinia appeared on the children’s show Plucka’s Place before moving to the iconic Australian show, Hey Hey It's Saturday as co-host. Livinia has worked in radio on Nova FM in Melbourne and hosted the drive shift on TT FM. She also co-hosted the revamped version of Sale of the Century called Temptation and has appeared on the Today show, Carols by Candelight, co-hosted Weekend Today, Things to try before you die, co-hosted the Logies red carpet arrivals (2008 -2012) and co-hosted The National IQ Test with Eddie McGuire. 

She has filed stories for Getaway from Switzerland. Germany, The Netherlands, Samoa, France and around Australia. 

Livinia now is a Channel 9 News weather reporter bringing Melbourne viewers their weather report each weeknight at 6.00pm – a role she has fulfilled since 2004. In 2011 Livinia also took on the role of presenting the weather in the national bulletin of Nine News at 4.30 pm each weekday. Livinia is an ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and World Vision. She also travelled to parts of Thailand with World Vision after the tsunami in December 2004.
