Jeni Danks (Lidgett, OL 1981)
Olympic Sailor - Barcelona 1992 & Atlanta 1996
Jeni began sailing at the age of 10 and represented Australia many times whilst still at Lauriston in World Championships.
At school Jeni was actively involved in hockey, diving and tennis and was an Andrews House leader, as well as a school prefect. She graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Economics. Jeni represented Australia in both the Barcelona Olympic Games (1992) and Atlanta (1996) in the 470 class - the double handed Women’s class, where she finished 8th and 7th. She was on the AOC Athletes Commission for 8 years and on the board of both Yachting Australia and Yachting Victoria. Jeni continues her involvement in sailing through the Davey’s Bay Yacht Club where she and her 3 sons and husband all sail.
